Wedding captured- Sophia and Chul Pt. 1

I had the honor of second-shooting Sophia and Chul's wedding this past weekend with Inku. From the moment I met them, I liked them instantly. Their personalities are opposite but complement each other so well. Chul is charismatic and outgoing. Sophia is deceivingly soft-spoken but strong. In fact, Chul refers to her as "the boss". hehe I should add wise on the list of adjectives describing Chul, right? ^0^

Let me share some photos of their special day beginning with the preparation. Sophia has great taste being a designer and I loved the colors she chose for the wedding, fuchsia and pink- so sophisticated but fun still.

I loved the lighting at Sophia and Chul's apartment.

Did I mention that Sophia herself made the bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party. She did a great job!

I love these shoes so much.

And these as well. These are her reception shoes- love the color!

I am a sucker for high heels.

I love this shot.

This is Sophia, Sophia's niece. It caused a little confusion during the wedding because the wrong Sophia would turn thinking she was being called. haha Either way, she is so cute!

This is all for now. Look for the rest in Pt. 2!

Maria captured- Maternity Session

Last week I met with Maria for an in-home maternity session. We both had lots of ideas on how we wanted the session to go, so I knew it was going to be a fun time. She looked so beautiful, confident and she really rocked the session. Who says mommy-to-bes can't be sexy?? See for yourself below!

I just love this shot!

It's a Girl, everyone!

Such a touching moment.

She wanted to incorporate these booties into the session because they were first things she bought for the baby after she found out about the pregnancy. So cute. ^.^

Wedding captured- Stephanie and Jeff

Stephanie and Jeff declared their love in front of family and friends at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Summit, New Jersey. It was a lovely wedding and Stephanie was such a sweetheart to work with. As Stephanie works in the fashion industry special care was paid to her dress and accessories. My favorite had to be the blue glitter peep-toe Christian Louboutin pumps. They were to die for! It was a pleasure to help document their day and I wish them nothing but the best in their lives together!

I loved her dress as well!

They look so happy here.

They were like this the whole day. I could not get a photo of them where they were not all over each other.

I wasn't lying!

As I said...^.^

Did I mention how awesome her shoes were??

Elizabeth captured- Toddler Session

I met Elizabeth and her parents at Ridgewood Wild Duck Pond located right near Paramus for an afternoon session. Elizabeth was understandably intimidated by my large camera so we started out by the playground hoping that she would warm up. It took a little time and patience, but after a few minutes on the swing and exploring the jungle area she forgot all about the camera and her true personality came through. Here are some of the highlights of my afternoon with the adorable Elizabeth.

Sandy Hook captured- Saturday at the shore

On Saturday, Mike (the bf) and I ventured out to the Jersey Shore, not for some fist pumping fun but rather for a relaxed day of taking in the beautiful scenery and of course some shooting! We weren't sure how the weather would be considering the warnings of the hurricane coming our way. However, we weren't disappointed. The weather was beautiful- a little windy but still so pleasant. Overall a wonderful Saturday! Here's some of the pictures from that day!

Us having a little fun. I decided to spare Mike the embarrassement and didn't include the next picture of the sequence where he landed on his back. hehe

I love the way the light is hitting this lone tree.

It seems everyone had the same thought as us. The beach was packed with families enjoying their long weekend. I especially liked this family biking together!

We were lucky enough to catch some geese take flight.

This is my rendition of the sunset. It's actually a pre-sunset shot. We were too starving to stay for the real thing. There's always next time! Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of their weekend. ^.^

Wedding captured- Heather and Ralph

This wedding was so much fun for many reasons. It was my first time shooting alongside my friend Inku and the couple Heather and Ralph were really such a great couple to photograph. They were very accomodating and made sure to leave a lot of time for couple shots. So, shoot away we did. Heather and Ralph have tons of chemistry and the photos really reflect their personalities and their love for each other. Congratulations to them both!

One of my favorites. She looks so beautiful.

Ralph being himself and Heather loving him for it.

They came out to Oh my god by Usher and really heated up the dance floor with their moves!

Then, they slowed things down a bit. This picture is my favorite of the night.
